Dear Groom: A Few Thoughts On Your Approaching Promotion . . .

Dear Groom,

I have a few thoughts on your approaching promotion to head of household that I’d like to share with you.

Dear Groom . . . .

Are you ready?

This is kind of a big deal. You’re going to be in charge. You know, like the head of this thing called a family.

Of course, you’re not supposed to rely solely on your own brain (and if you were planning to do that, we need to talk. . . ) but you’re the head not the helper.

This is a big responsibility whether we’re talking about paying the bills, buying a house, or starting a family.

I highly recommend that you place this responsibility firmly and permanently in the hands of God. Then ask for His help as you take it on. Seek His help and wisdom daily as you make decisions. And rely heavily (but not too heavily) on the helper He has given you.

You might also want to spend some time beforehand preparing for this responsibility. Like educating yourself and working on developing better habits (like being organized and making decisions) where needed.

Congratulations on your promotion! You can do this!

Sincerely, Christina @ Virtuous Weddings
